Little Pond Campsite on the Wet Route. The Santa Fe Trail ran to the east of this marker location. In this same general area was a campsite on the Santa Fe Trail. The campsite would have been closer to the Arkansas River which is about one mile to the east of this location. It should be noted that the pond in the photo was dammed up in this century. The marker is located in the fence line to the west of the pond.
