DESIGNATION: Junction of The Fort Hays/Fort Dodge Road and the Santa Fe Trail (Fort Dodge, Kansas).
LOCATION: From the Site I-29 Marker, continue south .1 mile and right 33 yards to the marker on the left.

HISTORIC DESCRIPTION: Fort Dodge was established as an U.S. Army post in April, 1865. There, The Fort Hays/Fort Dodge Road merged with the established route of the Santa Fe Trail.

COMMENTS: This location is also (Site C-30) on the Wet Route.
