At this location the ruts of the Santa Fe Trail come from the Santa Fe Trail High School about five miles west of Overbrook, Kansas on US 56 to a location just south on the highway on a road leading to Osage County State Fishing Lake. The ruts may be seen on the east side of the road in an unplowed field about the center of the photo.
