In the town of Overbrook, Kansas take Cedar Street south from US 56, the street will turn to the east to the cemetery. Just after entering the cemetery the faint ruts may be seen on both sides of the road. On the back side of the cemetery there is a post marking the Santa Fe Trail rut.
