Point of Inception/Lower Crossing. At this location the Wet Route split and one trail went to the Lower Crossing of the Arkansas. From this point the Trail went to the southwest to Lower or Wagon Bed Springs south of Ulysses, Kansas on the Cimarron River. This location is in the middle of a cattle feedlot. The marker is located just to the northeast of the buildings in the photo next to a power pole. Due to security this location is off limits at this time.
