As you enter the grounds of the Kansas State Soldiers Home at Old Fort Dodge, Kansas you are greeted with this display and a short history of the old fort. If you get in the area do visit the grounds, in recent years they have made many improvements to the fort area.
This is one of those "must see sites" along the Santa Fe Trail!
