The historic property at 502 West 2nd Street in Larned, Kansas has been purchased by local history enthusiasts; Bob Rein, Mildon Yeager, and David Clapsaddle, members of the Wet & Dry Chapter of the Santa Fe Trail. This site is the location described by George Sibley as the August 31, 1825 campsite of the Santa Fe Road survey team. This is the marker the owners placed at this location and sits on the southeast corner of the property.
