Joanne, of Salina, Kansas, received the 1996 Faye Anderson Award during the winter meeting of the Wet/Dry Routes Chapter of the Santa Fe Trail, held Sunday, January 14, 1996, in Kinsley, Kansas.

The annual award is given to a member or family that has significantly contributed to the Chapter. Faye Anderson was a charter member that contributed to the Chapter. Faye Anderson was a charter member that contributed to the Chapter and the award was initiated in her honor.
